Dear Panelists and Poster Presenters,

Wëllkomm zu Lëtzebuerg! (Welcome to Luxembourg!)

As a token of our appreciation for your presence, we’ve curated a selection of products, all lovingly made in a country deeply committed to environmental sustainability, social impact, and inclusion. Inside, you’ll find delicacies such as marmalade, biscuits, soap, and chocolate, all beautifully packaged in a bag made from recycled paper (and we encourage you to recycle it, too!).

The biscuits and marmalade come from Eis Epicerie, a solidarity grocery located in Sanem, just 3km from the University. Their mission is to champion a social and solidarity-based economy within the community, emphasizing collaborative partnerships with organizations dedicated to social, ecological, and economic initiatives. They prioritize a community-driven, participatory approach aimed at sustaining and creating local employment. At the heart of their efforts is a commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable society, where environmental and human considerations are central to every economic decision.

The vegan soaps are produced by Yolande Coop, a cooperative with a strong social impact, dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through its eight professional inclusion workshops, the cooperative offers a range of artisan, locally sourced products, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society. By fostering an environment that values diversity and inclusion, Yolande Coop not only supports the personal and professional growth of its members, but also strengthens the community through its commitment to social responsibility.

Finally, the “Chocolates of the Heart” (Chocolat du Cœur in French) are crafted by Atelier du Tricentenaire. This organization is dedicated to promoting social inclusion and supporting individuals with disabilities. Their associative project seeks to create a more inclusive society by providing tailored services, advocating for individual rights, and fostering community integration. Tricentenaire's mission is deeply rooted in promoting dignity, autonomy, and well-being for all those they support.

We hope you enjoy these gifts!
