ifph2024 : 7th World Conference of the International Federation for Public History

3-7 September 2024, Belval, Luxembourg

Practical Information > Green Events

As organizers of the IFPH 2024 conference, we believe it's essential to align our event with sustainable practices and environmental responsibility. Hence, we have chosen to request the Green Business Logo certification for this year's event.

Environmental sustainability is not just a buzzword; it's a critical aspect of our collective future. By seeking the Green Business certification, we demonstrate our commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of our event. This certification serves as a tangible symbol of our dedication to minimizing waste, conserving resources, and promoting eco-friendly practices throughout the conference's planning and execution.

The Green Business Logo represents adherence to rigorous standards set forth by the Ministry of Economy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It signifies that our event meets specific criteria for energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, food, and overall environmental impact mitigation. By seeking to obtain this certification, we signal to attendees, participants, and stakeholders that sustainability is at the forefront of our priorities.

Moreover, by promoting sustainability initiatives such as this one, we aim to inspire other conferences and events within academia to follow suit. By leading by example, we hope to foster a culture of environmental consciousness and responsibility within the academic communities we serve.

Incorporating sustainability into the fabric of our conference isn't just about meeting regulatory requirements; it's about embracing our ethical duty to protect the planet for future generations. By earning the Green Business Logo, we are taking a proactive step towards fulfilling this obligation while setting a standard for excellence in environmentally conscious event management.

Together, let's make IFPH 2024 not only a platform for fruitful exchange but also a beacon of sustainability and environmental stewardship. Thank you for joining us on this journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.
